HOW TO CREATE AUTOMATIC TABLE OF CONTENT

Automatic Table of Contents You cannot generate any automatic tables without first using styles effectively throughout your document.  Microsoft Word can scan your document and find everything in the Heading 1 style and put that on the first level of your table of contents, put any Heading 2’s on the second level of your table of contents, and so on. If you want an automatic table of contents you need to label all of your chapter titles and front matter headings (e.g. “Dedication” and “Acknowledgements”) in the style Heading 1.  All major headings within your chapters should be labeled Heading 2.  All subheadings should be labeled Heading 3, and so on. If you have used Heading styles in your document, creating an automatic table of contents is easy. Place your cursor where you want your table of contents to be. On the References Ribbon, in the Table of Contents Group, click on the arrow next to the Table of Contents icon, and select Inse...

HOW TO LOWER THE DISPLAY RESOLUTION IN YOUR PHONE

Requirements: 1. Resolution Changer Lowering the display resolution is a great workaround for saving battery that is being eaten up by those extra pixels. Also, the higher resolution may lead to lagging and heating issues while playing high intensive games which usually stress the processor. Therefore, you may want a lower resolution than that what your device offers natively. For this, we have two methods: one requires root permissions while other doesn’t. If you’re already rooted then simply install the Resolution Changer app from Play Store and tweak the resolution and pixel density. But if you are hesitant towards rooting your device then there’s another method too which requires a computer (Windows, Linux, or Mac) and allows you to change the pixel density and resolution using ADB commands (without root). Note: Some manufacturers like Samsung and Huawei/ Honor provide an inbuilt option for the same.

HOW TO TRACK YOUR SMARTPHONE

Requirements: 1. Google Find My Device Ever lost a phone? if yes, then you might have had an awful experience like I did after losing my phone at the restaurant. At times, we misplace our phones and the worst part is if we kept them on silent, then there’s no other way you can get it back except using Google’s Find My Phone app. The best part with Android is that if you added a Google Account to your Android device, then Find My Device is automatically turned on. So, whenever you lose your device, just head over to android.com/find in any browser and log in with the same google account. Now, you can see the location of your device and can further erase all the data remotely, lock it down with a message or make it ring loud (even if it’s in silent mode), provided that your lost device has access to the internet and location is on.

SAFE BROWSERS

HTTPS Everywhere Browser plug-in HTTPS Everywhere is an EFF/Tor project that enforces SSL security wherever that’s possible in Chrome, Firefox and Opera. It promises to make what would otherwise be a complex and uncertain process much simpler because it is easy to start out using HTTPS on a website and be sent back to non-HTTPS pages without realising it. Downsides? It’s another plug-in of course, but it’s worth it. A boon for café surfers everywhere. Tor The granddaddy of privacy browsers, Tor has become the watchword for the anti-surveillance movement because it is built on an entire infrastructure of ‘hidden' relay servers. Because it bounces your connection through a number of distributed nodes, it should obscure the public IP address you are connecting to the internet with. Built atop a modified Firefox, it can be installed on a Windows, Mac or Linux PC but also on a USB stick if that's preferable. The important thing to remember about Tor is that...
