1. Letter G stands for GPRS (General Packet Radio Service), this is the first generation of mobile phone technology. It means that your internet speed is very slow (86kbps).
2. Letter E stands for EDGE (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM evolution) it has (236kbps).
3. Letter 2G (Second Generation)
Is the second generation of mobile phone technology that uses GPRS system but its speed is faster than letter G, (154kbps).
4. Letter 3G (Third Generation of mobile technology)
It uses UMTS. (speed of 386kbps).
5. Letter H stands for HSPA (High Speed Packet Access)
It is a continuation after 3G that has a speed of 3.2 Mbps.
6. Letter H+ stands for enhanced HSPA, it is faster than H.
7. Letter 4G (Fourth Generation of Mobile phone Technology) it sometimes known as LTE (Long Term Evolution).
It is the current model that uses H+ so it has a very fast speed (like 14.4mbps to 21mbps).
8. Letter WCDMA stands for Wide-band Code-division Multiple Access.
It uses the technology of 3G.
9. Mbps: means Megabits per second.
10. Kbps: stands for kilobits per second, it is lower than mbps.
